Former West Ham and Black Stars player, John Painstil has opened up on his playing time with Portuguese Superstar during his time in the English Premier league.
The current assistant coach of the Black Stars who played with the Iconic global superstar has disclosed how easy it was to face the 5 times Ballon D’or winner.
“with Ronaldo as defender I know what he can do because I watch him for some years so going at him one on one I know he wants to come inside with his right foot, he is right foot that wants to operate from the left side so the best is to show on the line to his weak leg so it was easy for me to manage Ronaldo” Joh Painstil said during an interview with Sienu TV.
Ironically as John Panistil boast of his competence against Ronaldo, the former Fulham player went ahead to score four own goals in 94 appearances in the English Premier League whereas Cristiano Ronaldo is the all-time top scorer in world football with 885 goals ahead of Messi, and football greats like the late Maradona and world Pele.
