Columbus Crew ace Jonathan Mensah has lauded fellow Ghanaian Lalas Abubakar after being crowned the Colorado Springs defender of the year.
Lalas who is on loan from Columbus Crew had an impressive stats this season putting up superlative display for Colorado Spring as they finished 9th on the MLS log.
The University of Ghana and University of Dayton graduate was named as the Colorado Springs defender of the year in an award ceremony earlier this week and the Black Stars center-back has praised him.
Colorado Springs are already in negotiations with Columbus Crew to snatch Lalas for $1.2m.
Abubakur, is yet to be capped by Ghana.
