West African Football Academy [WAFA] posted an emphatic 3-1 win over Liberty Professional in matchday one of the Normalisation Committee Special Competition in Sogakope on Sunday.
The Academy boys were pitiless on the Dansoman based club as they put three past them in the opening game of the competition.
Justice Amate shot the hosts in front after just three minutes into the game before Kingsford Owusu made it 2-0 in the 53rd minute.
WAFA kept pressuring Liberty for more goals and their efforts again paid off when Andrews Ntim scored on the 64th minute to give his side a 3-0 lead.
Frederick Ansah however, managed to score the only consolation goal for Liberty Professionals as they recorded the heaviest defeat in match day one of the novelty cup competition.
