Former Black Stars Head Coach, Milovan Rejavach, says although Ghana’s defeat to Uruguay in 2010 was a tragic one, the Black Stars shouldn’t think of any revenge going into Friday’s clash with the South American side.
The Serbian trainer was in the dugout for Ghana as Africa watched on ,rooting for the Black Stars to make the record of a semifinal by an African Nation but an unfortunate penalty miss by Asamoah Gyan Shattered the hopes of Africa.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Akoma FM, Milovan Rajevac said: “It was the tragic memory for all of us but anyway, we made all of Africa proud at that time, so we should learn from that experience and use it for the future challenges”
“I believe Ghana should leave the past in the past regarding Uruguay game and take the match against Uruguay tomorrow as any other match,”
“They should stay focused and determined to win, because every next match is the most important match.”
The Coach also stressed that though Uruguay is a tough opponent but believes the current team of players shouldn’t be difficult for Ghana to overcome.
“I believe that this team of Uruguay is not strong as the team they had in 2010”
