Morocco national team coach Vahid Halilhodzic has named a 24-man squad for the upcoming FIFA 2022 World Cup qualification matches in September but there is no place for Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech who is arguably Moroccos’ best player.
Morocco are group C opponents of the Black Stars of Ghana at the AFCON 2021 as the group also includes Gabon and Comoros.
Ziyech was injured and missed his team’s season opener against Crystal Palace but came off the bench in Chelsea’s 2-0 win at Arsenal to play the last minutes.
