Deportivo La Coruna defender Mujaid Sadick Aliu has contracted the Covid-19 virus.
Sportsworldghana.com understands that the Spanish centre-back of Ghanaian and Nigerian descent is currently on isolation and he is expected to be back in two weeks.
Mujaid, 21, has played sixteen league games for Deportivo in the third tier this season and his absence is a big worry for manager Fernando Vazquez as they continue to push for promotion to La Liga 2.
The defender will not be available this weekend when his club face League leaders Zamora in the Segunda B top liner.
The budding guardsman won the Deportivo player of the month for February.
