Konongo-based second division club, Golden Palace FC is not happy with the way they have been allegedly treated by Accra Lions in relations to Black Meteors forward Osman Bukari.
The third-tier club insists Accra Lions have not been fair to them as Bukari was playing for them before they came for him but they past at their back in subsequent transactions which includes the boy’s move abroad and they are yet to get even a pesewa from the Accra-based club on the FK Trencin star
Bankroller of Golden Palace FC, Paul Vincent Adarkwah who also is the coach of the club revealed how Accra Lions tied his hand at his back despite Bukari playing for his outfit and he introducing him to them.
“I spotted Osman Bukari in 2015, he was then attending Owerriman Senior High School at Dome in the Ashanti Akim Central Municipality. They were preparing for the Milo games and played a friendly against Important FC a second division club in Konongo.” Adarkwah told SPORTSworldGhana.com.
“His performance was good, after the game I approached him and took his number, later that evening I called him and we talked. It was there he told me that he used to play for a club called Happy Stars at Ejisu but the team had collapsed and it was no more. So I told him I will help him as I am also a coach”
“He gave me his team’s coach number and I called him, he also confirmed that the team Bukari is playing for has collapsed and does not exist again. I took Bukari to my team Golden Palace FC also a second division club in Konongo, he stayed with me and i fed him. I had links to some of the coaches in Accra Lions especially coach Leo as we had played a friendly game with them previously. They were going to have a tournament in Kumasi, that was December 1, 2015, they told me to prepare my team and bring it. They picked Bukari after the tournament.”
“Bukari and the father even came to my house to talk to me that I should help him. When Lions said they wanted him, he had to every day move from Konongo to their training camp in Kumasi and I was the one paying his fare until the team moved back to Accra.”
“Concerning his card, his defunct club owner talked to me and we agreed on everything, he was about to release it to me, we had even earlier on agreed on the future onward transfer percentage verbally when Accra Lions passed at my back to go and pay money to the owner of his defunct club and get the card, though the boy was my player as he was playing for me and I and the team had made verbal agreement which Accra Lions knew about”
The Golden Palace boss who is not happy with the way he and his outfit have been treated by Accra Lions is seeking for a minimal percentage of Bukari’s transfer few or is prepared to send the matter to any appropriate quarters with concrete evidence and witnesses.
“Despite, I spotted Bukari, brought him to my team, offered him the platform to get the Accra Lions deal, I and my club Golden Palace FC have gotten nothing from his transfer abroad though we also developed him. Accra Lions have not been fair to me and my team, they should at least give us a percentage of Bukari’s transfer fee to Trencin or else we are prepared to go all out for justice.”
Bukari, 21, joined Slovakian side Trencin on a four-year deal in July 9, 2018 after featuring on a six-month loan deal at Belgian giants Anderlecht.
He has made a total of 60 league appearances for Trencin so far scoring fourteen goals and providing 25 assists.
The budding star has already been linked to host of teams including Turkish giants Galatasaray as well as FC Porto.
