Black Stars attacker Abdul Majeed Waris and striker Godsway Donyoh were among the scorers of Ghanaian players abroad over the weekend.

Fast-rising Ghanaian starlet Fred MC Mensah Quarshie scored a brace for Werder Bremen in the U19 Bundesliga while Thomas Partey was sent off while in action for Atletico Madrid.

ENGLAND

Denis Odoi played 90 minutes for Fulham in their 3-0 loss to Manchester United at the Craven Cottage. Dutch international of Ghanaian descent Timothy Fosu-Mensah was left out of the squad due to loan agreement.

Injured Daniel Amartey watched from the screens as his Leicester City side succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspurs.

English-born Ghanaian Callum Hudson-Odoi was left out of the Chelsea squad for their 6-0 humiliation at the hands of Manchester City.

Crystal Palace fought from behind to share the spoils in a 1-1 draw with visiting West Ham United at the Selhurst Park on Saturday. Jeffrey Schlupp played 90 minutes but Jordan Ayew was unused.

Edward Nketiah watched from the Arsenal bench in their 2-1 away win over Huddersfield Town.

Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah was unused by Aston Villa in their 3-3 drawn game with Sheffield United in the Championship at the Villa Park.

Defender Andy Kyere Yiadom was in action for 90 minutes for Reading in their 0-0 draw at Sheffield Wed on Saturday.

Norwich City posted a 3-0 win over Ipswich Town. Norway international of Ghanaian descent Alexander Tettey came off the bench to play for the winners but Collin Quaner could not make the losers’ squad for the game.

In the League Two, AFC Wimbledon slipped to a 2-0 loss against Burton at their own backyard. Ghanaian striker Kwesi Appiah suffered an injury and was replaced in the 18th minute. Watford promising starlet Michael Folivi came off the bench to play for the losers.

Former Leicester City striker Joe Dodoo came off the bench to play for Blackpool when they won 2-0 against visiting Walsall.

Former Arsenal youth team goalkeeper Corey Addai warmed the bench for Coventry City as they managed a 1-0 away win over Rochdale.

Tariqe Fosu played 90 minutes in attack for Charlton when they drew 1-1 with Southend on Saturday.

Former Arsenal youth team player Abumere Ogogo was in action for 90 minutes for Bristol Rovers when they drew 1-1 with Shrewsbury.

In the League Two, Hiram Boateng did not make the trip with Exeter City for their 1-1 drawn game with Carlisle Town on Saturday.

Elsewhere Immanuelson Duku warmed the bench for Cheltenham Town in their 3-0 loss to Colchester on Saturday. Alex Addai was left out of their squad for the game.

In the National League, Kevin Lokko was in action for Dover Rovers in their 3-2 home loss to Harrogate. Former Chelsea youth team defender Nii Nortey Nortei was left out of the Dover squad for the game.

10-man Maidenhead won 1-0 against Boreham Wood. Ghanaian duo of Nana Ofori-Twumasi and Harold Odamatey started for the winners while Nana Owusu was unused. Odametey was sent off in the second-half. Danish-born Ghanaian Justin Kwabena Shaibu came off the bench to play for the losers.

In the U18 Premier League, Kelvin Berkoe scored for Wolves U18 in their 1-1 drawn game with Sunderland U18 on Saturday. Jed Abbey came off the bench to play for Wolves.

Stoke City U18 defeated Manchester City U18 2-1. Ghanaian teenager Kwaku Oduroh played 90 minutes for City but Yeboah Amankwah and Jeremie Frimpong were left out of the City squad.

NETHERLANDS

AZ Alkmaar triumphed 3-0 over NAC Breda in an away clash at the Rat Verlegh Stadion on Friday. Dutch-born Ghanaian youth attacker Myron Boadu is on the road to recovery and missed the injury.

VVV Venlo won 2-1 against visiting Willem II with Togolese international Peniel Kokou Mlapa scoring both goals for the winners. Ghanaian Johnathan Opoku Agyemang missed the game with a knee injury.

Former Ajax Amsterdam youth team player Leeroy Owusu played 90 minutes for De Graafschap in their 4-0 loss at Feyenoord on Saturday.

Dutch-born Ghanaian starlet Cody Gakpo came off the bench to play for PSV in their 2-2 draw at FC Utrecht.

Striker Dauda Mohammed debuted for Vitesse Arnhem by coming off the bench to play in their 2-1 loss to FC Groningen on Sunday in the Eredivisie.

Robin Polley was not part of the ADO Den Haag side that lost 3-2 to Emmen.

Almere City claimed a 2-0 win over Jong AZ with Ghanaian attacker Kevin Luckassen coming off the bench to play for the winners.

Dutch-born Rodney Antwi came off the FC Volendam bench to play in their 1-1 drawn game at Den Bosch on Friday.

Kumasi-born former Portugal youth international Asumah Ankra warmed the bench for Maastricht when they won 3-1 against hosts Oss in the second-tier league.

Samuel Brobbey played for Jong Almere City in their 3-2 loss to Lienden.

Veteran defender Carlos Opoku played for Rijnsburgse Boys as they beat Jong Sparta Rotterdam 3-0.

GERMANY

Sweden international of Ghanaian descent Robin Quaison scored the consolation goal for Mainz 05 in their 5-1 home loss to visiting Bayer Leverkusen. Ghanaian youngster Issah Abass did not make the Mainz squad for the game.

Austrian international of Ghanaian descent Kevin Danso was left out of the Augsburg squad for their 4-0 loss to Werder Bremen on Sunday.

Dutch-born Ghana target Derrick Luckassen is injured and missed Hertha Berlin’s 3-0 away win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Defender Kasim Adams Nuhu missed TSG Hoffenheim’s 3-3 drawn game with Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

German-born Ghanaian John Yeboah Zamora warmed the bench for Wolfsburg in their 3-3 drawn game at Freiburg.

In the Bundesliga II, FC Koln thrashed visiting St Pauli 4-1. And, Danish-born Ghanaian defender Nikolas Nartey came off the bench to play for the while Christopher Avevor lasted the entire period of the game for the losers.

Meanwhile Paderborn won 2-1 against VfL Bochum on Saturday. Jans Gyamerah played in lateral defence for the losers while duo Christopher Antwi-Adjei and Bernard Tekpetey played for the winners.

David Atanga was introduced in the second-half by Greuther Furth in their 1-0 win over Duisburg. Joseph Claude-Gyau warmed the bench for the losers.

German-born Kingsley Schindler played for Holstein Kiel as they held Magdeburg to a 1-1 drawn game.

Ghana defender Philemon Ofosu-Ayeh came off the Wurzburger Kickers bench to play in their 2-1 away win over Energie Cottbus.

Bernard Kyere came off the bench to play for Fortuna Koln in their 1-0 win over Zwickau on Saturday.

Agyemang Diawusie scored for Wehen in their 3-2 win at Braunschweig. Defender Steffan Nkansah also played for the losers as well as Daniel Kofi Kyereh for the winners.

In the U19 Bundesliga, 18-year-old Ghanaian forward Fred MC Mensah Quarshie scored a brace for Werder Bremen U19 as they whipped Magdeburg U19 3-2.

Charles Jesaja Hermann played 45 minutes for Wolfsburg U19 in their 5-2 away win over Hamburg U19.

Andrew Owusu lasted 71 minutes for FC Heidenheim U19 when they drew 2-2 with VfL Stuttgart U19.

Young defender Stephan Mensah played full throttle for Karlsruher SC U19 who lost 2-0 to Nurnberg.

Starlet Amoah Mensah was introduced in the 46th minute by Niendorfer TSV U19 who were mauled 5-0 by Hannover 96 U19.

Defender Daniel Kyerewaa was in action for 90 minutes for Fortuna Dusseldorf U19 in their 1-1 drawn game with MSV Duisburg U19.

Bochum U19 consigned Rot-Weiss Essen U19 to a 3-0 defeat. Maxwell Gyamfi replaced the injured Philip Aboagye in the 33rd minute for the winners while midfielder Clinton Asare lasted 74 minutes for Rot-Weiss Essen U19.

SPAIN

Kumasi-born Mohammed Salisu was left out of the Real Valladolid squad for their 0-0 draw with Villarreal at the Estadio José Zorrilla on Friday evening.

Midfielder Thomas Partey was marched off in the 82nd minute while in action for Atletico Madrid in their 3-1 loss to Real Madrid.

Inaki Williams was denied on a number of occasions by Barcelona goalkeeper as they shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw in the La Liga on Sunday. He was substituted late in the game. Kevin-Prince Boateng was unused by Barcelona.

In the Segunda Division, midfielder Isaac Cofie was not in the Sporting Gijon team for their 2-0 home loss to Osasuna.

Almeria defeated Numancia 1-0 on Sunday. Midfieldr Yaw Yeboah played 63 minutes for the 10-man Numancia side.

Alcorcon suffered a 2-1 home loss to Cadiz and Ghanaian Richard Boateng came off the bench to play for the losers.

BELGIUM

Both Joseph Aidoo and Joseph Paintsil were in action for Division One leaders Genk as they managed to post a 2-0 win over Standard Liege on Friday.

Kortrijk imposed themselves on KAS Eupen with a 1-0 away triumph. Bennard Kumordzi was confined to the bench of the winners while midfielder Eric Ocansey watched from the stands due to injury problem. Goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen was with the Ghana U20 squad and missed the game.

Ghanaian defender Nana Kwasi Asare skippered Gent to a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Mouscron.

Anderlecht shared the spoils in a 0-0 drawn game with Waregem. Belgian-born Ghanaian Francis Amuzuwarmed the bench for Anderlecht. Dennis Appiah was not in the Anderlecht squad for the game.

Elton Acolatse and Samuel Asamoah were both full timers for St Truiden who beat visiting Waasland-Bereven 2-1. Winger Nana Opoku Ampomah played for the losers.

Daniel Opare Tawiah was axed from the Royal Antwerp team and didn’t make the trip to Lokeren as they lost 2-1. But, striker William Owusu came off the bench to play in the 61st minute.

In the Division Two, Ghanaian duo of Divine Naah and Ernest Agyiri were named on the Tubize bench in their 1-0 loss at Westerlo. Naah came off the bench to play but Agyiri was unused.

FRANCE

Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris scored from the spot for Nantes who surrendered a 2-0 lead to lose 4-2 to visiting Nimes on Sunday. French-born Ghanaian defender Enock Kwateng was unused by the hosts.

Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman made the Stade de Reims matchday squad but he was unused as he warmed the bench for the entire period in their 1-1 draw with Toulouse.

In the Ligue 2, Lawrence Ati-Zigi manned the post for Sochaux in their 0-0 draw at Beziers on Friday. Olympique Lyon loanee Elisha Owusu also played 90 minutes for Sochaux.

Former Right to Dream Academy graduate Emmanuel Ntim did not make the Valenciennes squad for their 1-0 away win over Clermont Foot.

Attacker Ebenezer Assifuah was unused by Le Havre for their 1-1 drawn game with Orleans.

Lens and Metz shared the spoils in a 0-00 draw on Saturday. Defender John Boye was yellow carded and played 90 minutes for Metz while French-born Ghanaian Grejohn Kyei came off the bench to play for Lens.

ITALY

Wing-back Kwadwo Asamoah reclaimed his starting spot for Inter Milan and lasted the entire duration of the game as they beat Parma 1-0.

Godfred Donsah was on the Bologna bench for their 1-1 drawn game with Genoa in the Serie A on Sunday.

Salernitana were beaten 1-0 by visiting Benevento on Friday. Ghanaian young defender Bright Gyamfi was unused by the winners while Moses Odjer was left out of the Salernitana squad for the game.

Striker Emmanuel Gyasi was replaced by lone goal getter Galabinov for Spezia who won 1-0 at Cittadella.

Amidu Salifu and Napoli loanee Abdallah Basit both played for Arezzo in their 1-1 draw with Pontedera.

Striker Ransford Selasi played 65 minutes for Fano in their 1-0 loss at Giana Erminio.

Davis Mensah was introduced just before the start of the second-half by Triestina in their 3-1 win over Monza.

Ghana’s Kingsley Boateng was introduced by Ternana in the 46th minute as they drew 2-2 with Virtus Verona.

SOUTH AFRICA

Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori was in post for Maritzburg United who beat Polokwane 3-1. Ghanaian striker Anas Mohammed also played 90 minutes for the losers.

Samuel Darpoh was in action for Amazulu who beat Cape Town City 1-0. Nana Akorsah-Bempah came off the bench to play for Cape Town City.

TURKEY

Kayserispor won 1-0 against 10-man Fenerbahce in the Super Lig on Friday. Andre Ayew played for the losers as well as Bernard Mensah for the winners. Asamoah Gyan missed the game with injury.

Joseph Attamah came off the bench to replace former Arsenal and Manchester City defender Gael Clichy as his Istanbul side drew 1-1 with Erzurum BB.

Lumor Agbenyenu was in action for 90 minutes for Goztepe in their 3-1 win over Alanyaspor. Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Sackey missed the game with injury for Alanyaspor.

Attacker Caleb Ekuban was in full time action for Trabzonspor in their 3-1 away loss to Galatasaray.

In the second-tier league, former Ghana U20 midfielder Kamal Issah scored for Eskisehirspor who beat Kardemir Karabuk on Saturday.

Attacker Mahatma Otoo was a bench warmer for Balikesirspor in their 3-1 win over Elazigspor.

CROATIA

Ghanaian midfielder Obeng Regan played full throttle for Istra 1961 when they suffered a 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagred in the top-flight on Saturday.

Striker Maxwell Boadu Acosty played 84 minutes for Rijeka in their 3-0 away win over Zapresic.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Winger Emmanuel Antwi played on the wings for Pribram who were battered 4-0 by Slovan Liberec in the top-flight on Saturday.

Benjamin Tetteh was in action for Sparta Prague when they won 1-0 over Bohemians 1905.

DENMARK

Attacker Danny Amankwaa marked his return to the Danish Superliga by coming off the bench to play for Sonderjyske in their 2-0 loss at Velje on Saturday.

Both Emmanuel Sabbi and Yaw Ihle Amankwah played for Hobro in their 0-0 draw with Horsens.

Godsway Donyoh scored a brace for Nordsjaelland when they drew 3-3 with Brondby on Sunday. Ghanaian youngster Abdul Mumin also featured for Nordsjaelland.

GREECE

Midfielder Mark Asigba warmed the bench for Lamia when they managed to hold Xanthi FC to a 0-0 drawn game on Saturday.

HUNGARY

German-born Reagy Ofosu played 90 minutes for Haladas in their 1-1 drawn game at Paks on Saturday in the top-flight.

Ghanaian defender Abraham Akwasi Frimpong played for Ferencvaros when Ujpest held them to a 1-1 drawn game.

MALTA

Striker Gabriel Mensah was in action for 90 minutes for Pieta Hotspurs in their 2-1 loss to Senglea Athletics.

Former Fiorentina Primavera defender Nii Nortey Ashong lasted the entire period in defence for Sliema in their 1-1 drawn game with St. Andrews.

MEXICO

Former Ghana U20 star Clifford Aboagye played as a holding midfielder for Atlas in their 2-1 home loss to Puebla.

PORTUGAL

Rio Ave posted a 1-0 win over Portimonense on Saturday. Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Hackman warmed the bench for them while Said Ahmed Said was unused by the winners.

Ghanaian duo of Joseph Amoah and Alhassan Wakaso both played 90 minutes for Vitoria Guimaraes in their 1-0 loss at Tondela.

In the second-tier league, striker Kwame Nsor was not in the Academico Viseu team when they drew 3-3 with FC Porto B.

ROMANIA

Winger Joseph Mensah played a cameo role for Sepsi when Din. Bucuresti defeated them 1-0 on Saturday.

SCOTLAND

Midfielder Abdul Osman played in central defence for Falkirk in their 2-1 away win over Alloa in the second-tier league on Saturday. Christian Prince Buaben Abankwah was left out of the winners’ squad for the trip.

SWITZERLAND

Majeed Ashimeru and Musah Nuhu both played for St Gallen in their 1-1 drawn game with giants FC Basel.

Gregory Kwesi Wuthrich warmed the bench for Young Boys in their 1-1 draw at FC Thun.

CYPRUS

Former Atletico Madrid B midfielder Benjamin Akoto Asamoah was in action for 90 minutes for Doxa who drew 2-2 with Omonia Nicosia in the Division One.

ALBANIA

Forward Emmanuel Mensah played 58 minutes for Partizani Tirana in their 2-0 win over Kastrioti Krujë.

Ex-Hearts of Oak Vincent Atinga dropped to the KF Tirana bench to join winger Winful Cobbina as they suffered a 1-0 away loss to Kukesi.

ISRAEL

Ghanaian midfielder Leonard Owusu starred in midfield for Ashdod and helped them to beat Hapoel Haifa 1-0.

Striker Eugene Ansah played 90 minutes for Hapoel Ra’anana who lost 1-0 against Maccabi Netanya.
