Chief Executive Officer of Hearts of Oak- Frederick Moore is hoping to win the Ghana premier league title and secure a qualification to compete in the Africa inter-club competition.
The 2000 Caf Champions League winners have failed to win a major trophy since the 2008/2009 Ghana Premier League season.
The phobians came close to winning the MTN FA Cup but were thrashed 3-1 by bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko at the Tamale Stadium, thanks to Saddick Adams hat-trick.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Pure FM, Moore said, “We want to make sure that we lift a trophy in Ghana and conquer Africa and that is our big goal”
He added that “We need to be successful on the pitch because our core business is football and when we get to pitch, the question should be Hearts of Oak scored how many”.
Hearts of Oak in attempt to end their decade trophy drought when the 2020/21 season starts, have signed five new players namely Eric Dizan, a winger from Ivory Coast, Mamane Lawali a midfielder from Niger, Danjumah Kuti, a forward who is also a Nigerian, Nuru Sulley, a popular tough defender from Ghana and Abednego Tetteh also a Ghanaian striker.
