Ahead of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification, crucial play-offs clash between Ghana and rivals Nigeria, President of th Nigeria football federation Amaju Pinnick, believes the Super Eagles will be able to pick a ticket to Qatar ahead of the Black Stars.
The West African giants were paired against each other following the World Cup qualifiers play-offs draw held in Garoua last Friday.
Reacting to the draw, who Pinnick admitted the game will be a tough one, remained optimistic Nigeria will qualify ahead of Ghana.
“It’s going to be a tough game, extremely tough game,” he started. “You know Ghana was humiliated out of the Nations Cup, kind off,” he told TV3’s Juliet Barwuah.
“So they are going to throw everything in the ring, in ensuring they compensate Ghanaians, their government, their sponsors and their supporters. So they will do everything.
“But the good news from us is, whatever they are going to do, we are going to do double. For example if they are going to walk on the treadmill for ten minutes, we will do twenty minutes.
“We are not going to rest, Ghana is a very beautiful team. In life, you have your good day and your bad day. AFCON might be a bad day for them but we are not going to underestimate them, they won the AFCON four times.
“We are staying focus, we will pray and do everything to qualify because in Nigeria, qualifying is our birth right.”

Ghana will first host the Super Eagles at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi in March before they fly to Abuga for the reverse leg.
