Young Ghanaian striker Abdul-Aziz Yakubu broke his goal duck in Portugal as his side secured a vital 2-1 away win over Río Ave in the Portuguese Cup on Tuesday afternoon.
The Ghanaian forward opened the scoring in the first half on the 14th minute mark to make it 1-0 to the Yellow and Blues who were visitors at the top-flight team in the round of 16.
Andre Vidigal made it two to Estoril Praia few seconds after the half hour mark to double their advantage and put them in a good position to carry the day.
Angolan striker Jacinto Muondo “Gelson” Dala reduced the deficit to one for the home team after 65 minutes to set up a grand style ending to the end-to-end and action packed encounter.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian attacker has scored in all three games in the Portuguese Cup this campaign and has eight goals in the Portuguese Secunda Liga despite going five matches without a goal in the league.
Estoril Praia are through to the quarter final of the Taça de Portugal Plagard after their round of 16 2-1 win over Rio Ave.
