Raphael Dwamena will become the ninth Ghanaian player in the English Premier if he completes his pending move to Brighton and Hove Albion.
The transfer of the 21-year-old is subject to a work permit and international clearance.
The Ghanaian striker has agreed personal terms with Chris Hughton’s side and is now awaiting clearance to travel to the UK to complete his medical.
If the deal becomes a success, Dwamena will join (8) other Ghanaian players in the English top-flight league.

We start the list with the least established German-born Ghanaian player in the Premier League, Collin Quaner.
The 26-year old defender joined Huddersfield Town in January 2017 for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-and-a-half year contract.
Quaner scored his first goal for the club on his debut against Rochdale in the FA Cup on 28 January 2017
He was hugely influential for Huddersfield as they made a dream start to their first ever Premier League season with a convincing 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park

The 19-year-old scored five goals during his 19 appearances for the Sky Blues.
Timothy-Fosu Mensah
Fosu-Mensah has recently spoken about his Ghanaian heritage and could link up with Raphael Dwamena.
Fosu-Mensah joined Crystal Palace on a season-long loan, reuniting with his former boss at Ajax, Frank de Boer. He made his debut for Palace two days later on 12 August 2017 against newly promoted Huddersfield Town, losing 3–0.

Christian Atsu
In May 2017 Atsu agreed terms on a permanent switch to Newcastle. He signed a four-year deal at St James’ Park and joined the Magpies for £6.2m.
