Ghanaian defender Baba Rahman is reported to be in stable condition after sustaining a severe head injury during a Greek Cup match on Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred in the 115th minute of the semi-final clash between PAOK and Panathinaikos when Rahman collided with an opponent and lost consciousness.
Promptly attended to by the medical team, Rahman received immediate treatment on the pitch to prevent further complications before being transported to the hospital via ambulance.
Reports indicate that Rahman is responding well to treatment and is in stable condition following the incident.
The somber turn of events overshadowed the match, which concluded in a 6-5 victory for Panathinaikos via a penalty shootout.
