Hearts of Oak paid a respectful visit to the National Chief Imam at the Kawukudi Mosque in anticipation of the 2023/24 season.
As part of their spiritual preparations for the upcoming Betpawa Premier League, Hearts of Oak sought the blessings and prayers of the Muslim community by visiting the Chief Imam.
The visit to the Kawukudi Central Mosque in Accra was a significant part of the club’s spiritual readiness before heading to their training camp in Koforidua.
The delegation, which included the players, coaching staff, management, and Board member Alhaji Braimah Akanbi, received blessings and prayers from the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Shaributu.
Hearts of Oak will continue their spiritual preparations with the Annual Purification visit on Saturday, September 2, in New Town. On Sunday, they will visit the St. Mary’s Anglican Church before their match against Okwahu United at Kpobiman on the same day.
Following a disappointing 2022/23 season, Hearts of Oak is eager to make a comeback when the league kicks off on Friday, September 15. Martin Koopman’s team will commence their campaign with an away game against Real Tamale United in Tamale on September 16.
The Phobians are scheduled to depart from Accra on Monday to continue their training camp in the Eastern Region.
