Ghanaian forward, Joel Fameyeh was in action for FC Orenburg in Russia on Saturday afternoon against FC Krasnodar II.
The 23-year-old predator finisher played 90 minutes of the match and helped the Blue and Whites to secure a vital home win over their opponents to close the gap between them and the top two teams.
After a goalless first half of the end-to-end match, Fameyeh brought down a ball with his chest inside the goal area to set up Dmitry Vorobyov who powerfully slotted home the game’s opening goal to make it 1-0 to the home team on the 54th-minute mark.
The former Black Meteors attacker lasted 90 of the match before he was substituted and replaced by Oleksandr Noyok.
The former Asokwa Deportivo SC striker has played 27 matches this season in the Russian National Football League scoring seven goals with two assists to his credit.
