Ghana’s youngster Nurudden Abdul-Aziz says he is very ready to showcase his top football talent and quality to the world at the upcoming Caf U23 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Division One League star, has been included in coach Ibrahim Tanko’s final squad for the Caf U23 showpiece which runs from 8th-22nd November, 2019 in Egypt.
”I am very happy to be part of the final squad for the Afcon because it’s not easy for a Division One player to have such a golden opportunity to play at the U23 Afcon.
”I think this is a fine opportunity for me to prove the whole world my talent and quality and I am fully prepared and ready to do that when given the chance by the head coach to play in any of the games,”- Abdul-Aziz exclusively told SportsworldGhana.com before the team’s departure to Egypt Monday.
He however, stressed that not only is the team aiming qualification to the 2020 Olympic Games but are also targeting the ultimate title at the Afcon.
”We are not only target qualification to the Olympic Games but we also want to win the trophy to make ourselves and the entire country proud,”
Ghana will open the tournament with a crucial fixture against Cameroon on Friday.
They will be hoping to kick start the tourney with a victory against Cameroon in their quest to book qualification for the first time in 16 years to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko, will be counting on the experience of Captain Yaw Yeboah, winger Evans Mensah, speedster Robin Polley among others to make history in Egypt by securing a ticket to the Olympic Games come next year in Japan.
