Former Ghana Football Association [GFA] President and board members of Accra Hearts of Oak SC, Dr Nyaho-Nyaho Tamakloe says it will be difficult for the Black Stars to make impact at the 2022 World Cup tournament even if the team secure qualification considering their performance in the qualifiers.
He said this following Ghana’s 1-1 on a neutral grounds against Ethiopia in South Africa at the Orlando stadium in Johannesburg last Thursday.
Ghana must win on Sunday evening at the Cape Coast stadium against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa to book a place in the playoffs spot but the experienced football administrator looked unimpressed with Ghana’s team.
In an interview Accra-based Asempa FM, Nyaho Tamakloe, board member of Hearts of Oak said the Black Stars performed woefully against Ethiopia and will fail to impress should they beat South Africa and qualify for tournament next year.
“I am worried because our performance has not been the best in the qualifiers and if we don’t take care, we will continue to struggle,” he said on Accra based Asempa FM.
“We are trying to put together a team but the results has been abysmal which must be a concern.
“We were poor against Ethiopia and even if we qualify, we will fail to impress at the World Cup because we don’t have a team” he added.
The Black Stars will host the Bafana Bafana at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday at 7pm and a win is enough to see them through to the next phase of the competition.
