The 38-year-old young South African head coach was never ever going to short offers because of his pedigree at a very young age in coaching on the African continent.
Rulani Mokwena has left Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic after the Moroccan Botola PRO League ended last weekend.
His appointment ahead of the 2024-25 season breathed huge confidence in the Wydad family as they expected the return of the club to its best but thing did not go as planned. Wydad Athletic finished third in the Botola PRO League and missed on the champions league slots.
Winners Berkane finished a whooping 16 points above Wydad. The position and performnaces throughout the season were considered disastrous as it led to his sacking.
Rulani is jobless now and news emanating from East Africa says that Tanzanian giants Young Africans are very much interested in the South African.
Reports say that the two are currently duscussing a potential deal as finances have delayed everything. Mokwena is wiling to reduce his wages to join the Tanzanian club, according to East African journalist Eric Ndagijimana.
Orlando Pirates’ magical head coach, Jose Riveiro, is set to be confirmed as the new coach of Egyptian giants Al Ahly. The Bucs are also expected to appoint the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Rulani Mokwena to occupy the imminent vacant row.
The two teams will have to ensure Rulani a serene working environment and prpoper project to stamd a great chance to win the signature of the highly respected South African coach.
